
Associations provide a secondary way to browse Extremes and Moderations, connecting writers across historical periods through publications, institutions, literary circles, political formations, aesthetic movements, diasporic networks, and intellectual currents. While each volume occupies one primary place in the Catalogue, it may participate in many different Associations.
Founded in the atmosphere of the postwar Left, California Quarterly brought political commitment, formal experiment, translation, criticism, and Los Angeles literary community into the same pages.
