Guy Emmett Daniels Jr. — Poems and Translations
Guy Daniels entered the Los Angeles poetry scene as a formal satirist and unusually deft translator, then built a forty-book career carrying Russian and French literature into English. Poems and Translations (1959), his single poetry collection, grew from the Thomas McGrath circle and the public readings gathered in Poetry Los Angeles I. This edition restores the securely recovered poems from their source pages, preserves their stanza forms and meaningful indents, and adds the later fable “The Crow and the Fox.”
