Henry Bedford-Jones — Collected Poems
Henry Bedford-Jones wrote with industrial speed for the great pulp magazines, yet his poetry emerged through the opposite practice: he selected type, handset the lines, and printed tiny books for friends. Collected Poems brings together 146 poems from his private editions of 1914–20 and his later San Juan Capistrano sequence. The result reveals a formal, restless poet moving between Michigan woods and Southern California missions, domestic tenderness and soldierly bravado, French translation and the popular rhythms of adventure fiction.
